About Ho‘omaluhia Horse Rescue
Nestled between the ocean and the mountains on Oahu’s North Shore, Hoʻomaluhia Horse Rescue is a family-founded nonprofit dedicated to giving Hawaiʻi’s horses a second chance.
Still in its early stages, this local effort is powered by a close-knit team of family and friends, all working together to rescue horses in need. While we’re not accepting new horses yet, we are actively building toward this goal.
Our ‘Ohana
Hoʻomaluhia Horse Rescue is founded by a local family and supported by a few committed friends who have become family throughout the years.
Our Mission
At Hoʻomaluhia, we believe every horse deserves a life filled with care and respect. Our mission is simple: rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Hawaiʻi’s horses.
Our Vision
Our work is inspired by the vision of a Hawaiʻi without neglected and abandoned horses—where horses are seen as a lifetime commitment and companion.
